A program for a service without religion
A humanist or secular service is shaped around the person rather than a liturgy, with music, readings of poems or letters, stories and a moment of silence. Start from the celebration of life order and rename anything.
What replaces the liturgy
Readings from poetry, letters or the person's own words; music they chose or loved; time for anyone to speak; a shared silence or a toast. There is no set order, so arrange it however suits them.
Words on the cover
Families choose "Celebrating the Life of", "In Memory of", or simply the name and dates. The Modern Minimal design keeps the cover simple: a photograph, with the name and dates beneath it.
Afterwards
Details of the gathering and the charity fit on the back page. A request such as bright clothing belongs in the obituary or the invitation instead, since guests read the program once they have arrived.
