A homegoing service program
In many Black churches, including many Baptist congregations, the funeral is a homegoing service with a longer order: processional, hymns, scripture, prayers, remarks, the eulogy and the recessional. Start from the homegoing order and add the choir, the soloist and the speakers.
A typical order
Processional, hymn, scripture (Old and New Testament), prayer, selection by the choir, acknowledgments and resolutions, remarks (some churches ask speakers to keep them brief), the obituary read or read silently, a solo, the eulogy, recessional.
Acknowledgments and resolutions
The back page can carry the family's acknowledgment and the church resolution; both fit in the "note of thanks" section.
The repast
Add the repast location and time to "After the service" so it prints on the back page.
